A program by LSP Academy and NIA
Enjoying working together
What makes me happy in my work?
What makes each person happy in their work? The team builds the answer with LEGO®, then holds on to what it takes away. An intake, one session and two follow-ups in just over a month.

The group is the expert.
How the program runs.
- Session with David and Sander
- NIA, every day in between
LSP Academy and NIA made this program together, specifically for team growth. One LEGO® Serious Play® session, and around it just over a month in which NIA keeps it going.
- Beforehand Intake What is going on in the team, and what do you want to achieve? The session is shaped around it.
- Week 1 The session An hour and a half of building, about what makes working together fun. David and Sander run the session together. Everyone leaves knowing what they will contribute.
- Two weeks later Check-in Together with David and Sander, the team looks at where it stands and what is already going differently.
- Two weeks after that Looking back What has changed in how you work together, and what does the team want to keep? From there, you choose the next step together.
Every model tells a story.
In the session, everyone builds an answer to the same question, with LEGO® bricks. Then the builder explains what the model means.
The group asks questions about the model. That way everyone gets a say, and everyone's knowledge comes to the table.
How every round goes
- Build Everyone builds an answer to the question.
- Tell The builder explains what the model means.
- Ask The group asks questions about the model.
About the approach
David Witte and Sander Nieuwenhuizen, who is building NIA, have run several sessions together. Both are LEGO® Serious Play® facilitators, and David also trains facilitators at LSP Academy.
In the session, everyone builds an answer with LEGO® bricks and tells the others about it. That way everyone gets a say.
The common thread: what makes me happy, when does our work make me happy, what makes that possible, what could we do more often, and what will I contribute?
LSP Academy and NIA believe in working together, each making the other stronger. Want to experience it, or just curious?
Tell me more!What NIA adds
LSP Academy and NIA join forces. In the session the team builds insights, and with NIA everyone holds on to them in the weeks that follow.
-
In NIA, everyone captures what they build, and afterward holds on to what they take away.
-
After the session, NIA asks everyone how it is going with what they planned.
-
David and Sander start each follow-up from what really happened.
What stays each person's own
What someone discusses with NIA stays theirs. The facilitator sees only the answers to their own questions, and the employer sees nothing.
